Part 1 from last weeks archival update- the @realpropsbmx FBM road trip from issue 46 by @stew1201 - this was a great trip, and captured in a way that tells the story so well. Time spent traveling with friends like this is such a unique and fun learning experience. The ‘nowness’ of these times is like nothing else I can think of. Just the crew, the laughs, and questions like - what spot are we gonna ride next, or where is the beer store?

Before Instagram, before DVD’s, VHS, before maga

Before Instagram, before DVD’s, VHS, before magazines, there was a media format called ‘web videos’ also known as web edits. This one is courtesy of @seamusmckeon when he officially joined the ranks of FBM kooks. I thinks it’s a pretty cool visual representation of creative bike fun and gnarly self expression. - @crandallfbm

This is Ryan Corrigan’s section from the FBM video ‘All Time Low’ released in 2001. While editing the video Ryan suggested a song from a friends band he went to high school with, it was a side B side on a 7”- a Jawbreaker cover by Lucero. The song fit the section perfect.
Soon after we had a video Premiere in Austin at the Ritz on 6th street, before the video was shown, This Bike is. Pipe Bomb and Lucero played, Derrick Girard got kicked out and most everyone else had a real good time. Packed house of rowdy bike fun.
Ryan has had a huge influence on a lot of the better parts of BMX, behind the scenes, behind a some of the best ramps built, and as is rider. This section was always one of my favorites. - @crandallfbm

Ginch bros. Are a couple of my favorite bike riders, and artist/musicians. These clips were filmed for the FBM DVD - Thousand Yard Stare, and remixed. Stoked on the timeless style and genuine positive energy from these dudes. - @crandallfbm

Here are a few photos I shot of @gillysmalls at @poshwoods - one of our first road trips, Tag, Gilly and I, to some proper jumps was to OG Posh 30 years ago (we camped beyond the big table). I don’t know if there would have been an FBM as we knew it without the influence and inspiration of this crew that built so much fun and created such a community. It changed us all, for the better, going to jams there, meeting riders from just about all over the world, witnessing what hard work and dedication meant in real time. Learning that just about anything is possible… Thanks to everyone at POSH who shared so much with us, and the rest of BMX. - @crandallfbm
