Seeing the photos of the Nick Wilson Memorial Project in progress, and the whole community getting behind it, kinda reminds me of the Fair and the parade in RAD when the whole town got stoked that a big race was coming to Cochrane…Kelly Baker and crew started working on this spot a few years ago, after his next door neighbor, and bmxer,Nick Wilson, died in Iraq on 2-12-06 while serving our country. He was a Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class, EOD Mobile Unit 3. Nick Grew up Riding the local trails, with Nick Marzolina, at a spot called the trout ponds that we had all been to….
Nike is supplying the ramps and the labor ( as is the local talent) for the ramps, as well as hosting Banksgiving, this saturday, Oct. 10. Come out and support the project, meet the FBM crew, and have fun for a good cause.
