Joel Barnett emailed with this cool archived find- “So I was going through some of my old stuff and found this little essay in one of my old school journals. It doesn’t have a date, but if I were to guess judging by my handwriting and the fact that it’s ‘Mat’ instead of ‘Matt’… I’d say this was probably around 5th or 6th grade. It’s awesome what kind of perspective I had about BMX at an early age. More kids need to look up to Mat Hoffman.” – Joel
